The Main Thing
Arkansas’ number one professional comedy team, The Main Thing, stars veteran performers whose work has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Off-Broadway, on Dick Clark’s United Radio Network, and in thousands of live stage performances all around the country. Their current home is The Joint Theater and Coffeehouse in the trendy Argenta Arts District in downtown North Little Rock, where they perform original two-act comedy shows every Friday and Saturday night.
Steve Farrell's writing has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Off-Broadway, on HBO, and for ten years was syndicated nationally by Dick Clark’s United Stations Radio Network. Steve was the head writer and Artistic Director of Houston’s Comedy Workshop, and the co- founder of Radio Music Theatre which produced his original plays for 27 years. Currently, Steve is the writer, composer, and Artistic Director for The Main Thing comedy trio.
Vicki Farrell began her acting career with The Showboat Rhododendron on the Mississippi River. After performing with Michigan’s Barn Theatre and teaching dance in Minneapolis, she became a charter member of The Comedy Workshop in Houston, and the co-founder of Radio Music Theatre, where she performed weekly from 1984 – 2011. Vicki currently performs as an actor and drummer with The Main Thing comedy trio.
Brett Ihler has performed with theater companies across the country, including The Utah Shakespearean Festival, Blue Jacket, and the Arkansas Shakespeare Theater. Brett is also an expert in stage combat, regularly choreographing shows for numerous regional theaters. He was a charter member of Improv Little Rock, and he now directs The Joint Venture improv company. Brett performs weekly at The Joint with The Main Thing comedy trio

A Fertle Holiday

This original two-act comedy chronicles the Fertle Family's trouble-ridden reunion in the tiny town of Dumpster, Arkansas, as they attempt to entertain their rich relatives from San Diego. The Main Thing comedy trio brings the quirky family to life by portraying all the relatives and townspeople needed to create the illusion of a bustling Christmas get-together.
