The Main Thing

The Main Thing

Arkansas’ number one professional comedy team, The Main Thing, stars veteran performers whose work has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Off-Broadway, on Dick Clark’s United Radio Network, and in thousands of live stage performances all around the country. Their  current home is The Joint Theater and Coffeehouse in the trendy Argenta Arts District in downtown North Little Rock, where they perform original two-act comedy shows every Friday and Saturday night.

Steve Farrell's writing has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Off-Broadway, on HBO, and for ten years was syndicated nationally by Dick Clark’s United Stations Radio Network. Steve was the head writer and Artistic Director of Houston’s Comedy Workshop, and the co- founder of Radio Music Theatre which produced his original plays for 27 years. Currently, Steve is the writer, composer, and Artistic Director for The Main Thing comedy trio.

Vicki Farrell began her acting career with The Showboat Rhododendron on the Mississippi River.  After performing with Michigan’s Barn Theatre and teaching dance in Minneapolis, she became a charter member of The Comedy Workshop in Houston, and the co-founder of Radio Music Theatre, where she performed weekly from 1984 – 2011. Vicki currently performs as an actor and drummer with The Main Thing comedy trio.

Here's what people are saying about The Main Thing...

"The show was hilarious - the actors are very talented, and they play a huge cast of characters, seamlessly changing wigs/hats/glasses/accents, quickly."

What a great evening out!  I haven't seen such talent since attending Broadway shows in New York!

"Last night's performance was amazing! Our friends and family have not stopped talking about it.  I don't think I've ever heard so much positive feedback about a show.  And your coffee is the best in the south!"

"These guys are amazing! Better than anything I've seen on Saturday Night Live! Our jaws hurt from laughing so much!"

"The Main Thing is the best thing in Arkansas right now!"
